Our family-owned motel sits beside the white sands of Ruakaka Beach on the spectacular Bream Bay coast, just minutes from State Highway 1, 20 minutes south of Whangarei and 1.5 hours from Auckland.

Choose from 18 self-contained motel units – 11 of them with magnificent views of the beach and Bream Bay coastline. We have one and two-bedroom units, accessible units, studio units, all with use of our communal facilities which include a BBQ area, children's playground and wireless hotspot.
Attractions
Ruakaka Beach is great for walking or jogging away from the crowds. Boogie board when the swell is up or try your hand at surfcasting from the shore. Bring your bikes and ride along the beach at low tide. Hire kayaks and explore the river and Wildlife Sanctuary, or enjoy a pampering massage and beauty treatment. All this is on your doorstep.
Local Area
A short drive will take you to other local beaches, the all-weather Waipu Golf Club, Masden Cove Marina, the Waipu Museum or the Marsden Point Refinery Visitor Centre. Bring a torch and explore the Waipu Caves, take a picnic and swim at Piroa Falls, or walk the coast at Waipu Cove and Mangawhai.
